Founder
Pieter van Herpen.
Pieter is an entrepreneur. He built and sold technology businesses before turning his attention to land, development and investment in Portugal.
He brings the same instincts to real estate: spot what others overlook, move with conviction, and put your own money behind it. Add a lifelong passion for architecture, nature and design, and you have the starting point for Verde 2050.
He is also a co-founder of Verde Capital, which provides short-term, senior-secured financing to experienced developers.

Pieter's partner, Nicoline Beerkens, is an interior designer known for creating refined, characterful spaces with a strong sense of materiality and atmosphere.
Her work complements our belief that thoughtful design improves the way people live — that a place is not only its land and architecture, but how it feels to inhabit.
Nicoline Beerkens Interiors is an independent design practice, separate from Verde 2050's development operations.
